#2 - Food & Med's...Health available - without a prescription!

"I am sick & tired of feeling sick & tired."

Picture

You are driving down a country road on a sunny day taking in all the beauty. Relaxed and enjoying the day, the car seems to slow down on it's own and suddenly the engine dies. As the car slowly rolls to the roadside your blood pressure rises. Not today, not on this stretch of road. Thank goodness for roadside service. Now keep following me here. Read on...

Most important:

Our health is centered on "3" areas: physical, emotional and spiritual.

All three have an important role in our health. For certain, I feel that if ANY of the "3" are out of balance, then the other two will be affected.

Physical health:

If you are not "running" well and have a symptom or set of symptoms, you see your doctor for a physical. You have blood testing done. You review the results. You get a prescription for a med. Wait! Why a pill? Why not look further?

So many want to just pop the pill, and the root of the problem never gets addressed.

Sure in some cases, you may "need" to take the medication, if this is what the doctor states.

We live in a society where there is a "pill for every ill." This must change.

There is so much we can do for ourselves naturally through food, proper hydration, exercise and supplements. But YOU must be willing to research, question, ask questions and work with your doctor to find the root cause. Then look at the "natural" ways it can be resolved.

Many women do not realize that most of their symptoms & concerns are caused by

  • stress
  • poor nutrition
  • lifestyle

These symptoms are "message's that your body is sending you." Will you respond?

Finding the root source of your symptoms will almost always lead to feeling better.

Let's begin with "2" questions. Ask yourself...

#1 - What are you drinking?

Water is critical to your good health. Your body is approximately 70% water. Your muscles, skin, and vital organs all contain and need large amounts of water for optimal health. The most critical fluid in your body, your blood, is mostly water. Water also transports oxygen to your cells, delivers nutrients, removes waste, and provides energy to the body. So staying hydrated is vital to good health!

You lose water through urination, respiration, and perspiration. If you are physically active you are losing even more water. Although "thirst" is a sign of dehydration, the TRUTH is your body is in need of water long before you feel thirsty.

Symptoms of mild dehydration include chronic pains in joints and muscles, lower back pain, headaches, and constipation. A strong odor to your urine, along with a yellow or amber color indicates that you are not getting enough water. DRINK water, water & water. Tea dehydrates you. Soda is very bad for your organs. I won't even mention beer and alcohol. ***Try drinking water for just two weeks and you WILL see the difference. (I add lemon to mine)

Water & losing Weight - Not losing weight? Maybe you are doing it all wrong.

Did you know you should drink more water when you are trying to lose weight?

  • Water isn't just "good for you" — water burns fat.
  • Water suppresses hunger.
  • Water renews your skin. Drinking water every day can make you look younger.
  • A study in the American Journal of Epidemiology found that guys who drank five or more glasses of water had only a 46% chance of having a fatal heart attack, and women had only 59% risk, compared to people who drank two or less glasses of water daily. It gets even better (or worse, depending on how you look at it). Women who drank two or less glasses of something other than water – such as tea, a soft drink, or juice – had a 147% greater risk for a fatal heart attack than women who drank five or more glasses of water. (Guys, you had a 46% greater risk if you skipped the water for another drink.)
  • If those stats confuse you, I’ll sum it up: drink more water and reduce your risk for a heart attack.
  • You'll also drop fat
  • You will have more energy
  • You will save your kidneys and liver from chronic overwork.

When your kidneys are taxed from too little water, your liver has to take over. Your liver is your number one fat-burning organ. Do you REALLY want it processing liquids and toxins rather than burning fat? Well, grab a glass of water. Within a few weeks, the change to your face and body will be noticeable.

Admit it...you eat fast food, love pizza, desserts and anything fried. We are what we eat. Here come's the bad news.

The first step in eliminating my pain? No white's. "What?" No white's.

Go ahead. Let it out. No, I am not kidding. You MUST eliminate the flour and sugar.
Picture

Are you serious about becoming a healthy woman?

Then start with this:

Drink WATER

Eliminate the WHITE's

If the average person removed flour and sugar-based foods from their diet they would probably experience weight loss. These kind of foods make a large part of our modern diet, and, in my opinion, are at the root of many health issues.
Eliminating flour and sugar effectively reduces the amount of “empty” calories from your diet. Many of these foods (based on refined carbohydrates) are also high in fat (pizza, donuts, etc). We eat too much of them and they provide us with little nutritive value – not to mention the issue of glycemic response.
When I went "white free" my inflammation and pain took a drastic nose dive!
Stick with nutritious whole foods –
fruits, vegetables, lean protein, legumes, nuts and seeds – and your shopping cart will overflow with good things to eat.
Consult your doctor or a dietitian to make sure a no-added-sugar, no-flour diet is right for you.
